A judge reportedly ruled the suit would go to trial, for a jury to decide whether the network knowingly spread false claims about Dominion Voting Systems, and to determine the amount of total damages.
The self described news organization defends itself by claiming that Dominion is using “cherrypicked quotes without context to generate headlines”, and that it broadcast newsworthy allegations reasonable viewers would have understood were not factual statements.
Claiming “the foundational right to a free press is at stake”, they say it “will continue to fiercely advocate for the first amendment in protecting the role of news organisations to cover the news”.
