FCC Investigations

Submitted by ub on

Everyone living in America should know they can formally request the @FCC to investigate any local TV station for the content of their broadcasts. I know because I have held an #FCC license since my first job in broadcasting.

The FCC maintains jurisdiction over the areas of broadband access, fair competition, radio frequency use, media responsibility, public safety, and homeland security. The FCC was formed by the Communications Act of 1934 to replace the radio regulation functions of the Federal Radio Commission.

In fact, @USAGov is now being asked to probe a Fox-affiliated Sinclair Broadcaster for being blatantly slanted, dishonest, misleading, racist, and extremely dangerous.

To file a Federal Communications Commission complaint

If your complaint is about a telecom billing or service issue, we will serve your complaint to your provider. Your provider has 30 days to send you a response to your complaint. We encourage you to contact your provider to resolve your issue prior to filing a formal complaint.
