FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS

July 4th fireworks displays will occur tonight after sunset in the following locations:

Off of Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.

Off of the Coney Island Beach Fishing Pier in Brooklyn.

On the East River for the first time in five years, over 3 million are expected to watch the fireworks show near the Brooklyn Bridge. The East River display will last 40 minutes. To see these fireworks from Brooklyn Bridge Park (F train to York St or A, C to High St), Brooklyn Heights & Brooklyn Promenade (2, 3 to Clark St) or South Street Seaport (A, C to Fulton St)

For history nerds, original copies of the Declaration of Independence & Bill of Rights on display at the NY Public Library's main branch, the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, on 42nd St & 5th Ave (7, B, D, F, M to 5th Ave / 42nd St - Bryant Park)

The Avengers at South Street Seaport on July 5th, movie begins at 8pm

Associated road closures will begin at 4:00 PM and end at approximately midnight. These will include the FDR Drive from Houston St to the Battery in Manhattan, as well as the Brooklyn Bridge, which will be closed in both directions beginning at 5:00 PM. Governors Island will be closed at 6:00 PM. Expect extensive traffic delays near all fireworks viewing locations.
