Learn to Ride: Bronx Recreation, along with Bike New York, is hosting a Learn to Ride program for adults and children. The fun will take place from 1 pm – 3 pm this Saturday in the back portion of the Middletown Road parking lot, off Stadium Avenue. See the world on two wheels!

Pooch Picnic Postponed: The Pooch Picnic scheduled for this Saturday, May 5, has been postponed. Parks & Recreation hopes to do a dog event sometime in the summer or fall, so stay tuned for updates.

Wilderness Appreciation Day: Pelham Bay Park still has a lot to offer this Saturday. The Urban Park Rangers will host a Wilderness Appreciation Day taking place by the Dog Run from 12pm -3pm. Their ongoing program focuses on unique wildlife viewing opportunities during particular seasons.

Birding programs are appropriate for all skill levels and beginners are welcome. To enhance your experience we encourage you to bring binoculars and field guides, or ask a Ranger to borrow a pair. For more information, call the Rangers at 718-319-7258.
