From Camelot To Hamilton

If we are going to have serious conversations about race, all races must participate. I have been fortunate to engage in such conversations in different settings based on my work in various roles involving diversity, equity, and inclusion. I have also valued the opportunity to co-facilitate such conversations with trusted non-white, mostly female colleagues in intergroup dialogue settings. It should come as no surprise that, while some Caucasians do join these conversations, their presence is far out of proportion to their representation, especially in diverse neighborhoods such as the county where I live. Whether in formal settings or day-to-day interactions, we must move forward with a reality check.

Everything goes better with diversity has been adopted as a no-brainer in the modern world ever since there have been meetings, webinars, focus groups, interviews, surveys, mapping exercises, and national researches conducted.

Any such undertaking produces unexpected discoveries. It's called doing one's homework, and a product of being prepared.
America is a melting pot and a tossed salad, and as such over the years this great nation has evolved from Camelot to Hamilton.

We no longer live in a Camelot world. In contrast, today's generation embraces multiculturalism and its all about Hamilton now.

The GOP knows how extreme Brett Kavanaugh's record is, so they're relying upon rules to hide it from the public. We The People of America must know all about a SCOTUS nominee's views on issues like race, abortion, and other hot buttons issues.

Kavanaugh was asked if he upholds Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits state and local voting laws that discriminate on the basis of race or color and whether it is constitutional. He did not answer.

Exposing Kavanaugh's history on race could cost him Tim Scott's Republican vote. https://www.dailykos.com/story/2018/9/6/1793718/-Exposing-Kavanaugh-s-h…
