FUNNY WOMEN

Submitted by ub on

Funny World is our feel-good feature or water cooler stories that we hope every one of our readers will share with loved ones.

This one is dedicated to my favorite funny femmes who have managed to make me laugh out loud delightfully for decades.

First of all, during the decade I worked at NBC, I had the pleasure and was pleasantly surprised when I met Gilda and immediately fell in line as a fan and admirer.

SNL makes it challenging to choose precisely the funniest sketches featuring the most iconic SNL actors,

The following are some of our all-time favorites. We begin with one of the Funniest Sketches From 30+ Major SNL Cast Members.  https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/single-funniest-sketch-30-major-200…

We offer you another fabulous lady of comedy LUCY https://youtu.be/wN3vScdoKJQ?si=b6XhNaZu_IhjNgVb

Last but not least, we turn to our favorite lady of humor. The two women above are gone but not forgotten Carol still makes us laugh. Carol Creighton Burnett (born April 26, 1933) is an American comedian, actress, and singer. Her groundbreaking comedy-variety show The Carol Burnett Show, originally aired on CBS, was one of the first to be hosted by a woman. She has performed on stage, television, and film in varying genres including dramatic and comedic roles.

She has received numerous accolades including six Primetime Emmy Awards, a Tony Award, a Grammy Award, and seven Golden Globe Awards.

Burnett was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2013, and the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2015
