The Garden Club of City Island was founded by four women back in the early 60's and they are now celebrating their 51th anniversary this year. On Thursday, May 24 they will host a luncheon at The City Island Yacht Club, "The calla lilies are in bloom again".
City Island Images spoke with the club's lone survivor from its four original founding members, the legendary City Island real estate broker and a wonderful woman who has earned her advanced degree in conversation, Jacqueline Kall. Jackie has asked us to invite one and all to this annual spring event.
She promises a festive and pleasant afternoon with several surprises and fabulous food.
The members of this club meets on the first Monday of every month at the City Island Yacht Club and it's members are City Island women who share a passion for gardening and serving our City Island community. They also sponsor two island-wide cleanups each year.

Reservations must be made before May 17 and the cost of this annual luncheon event is $40.00.
