A Los Angeles County Superior Court Jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was accused of involuntary manslaughter in the June 25, 2009 death of pop star Michael Jackson.
Dr. Murray faces up to four years in prison and loss of his medical license.
The judge has discretion to decide the sentence. He will receive recommendations from a probation department report and both attorneys.
It's unlikely that Murray spends any time in prison because of AB109, California's prison legislation intended to address overcrowding. He would probably do time in the county jail, possibly even a term of house arrest.
