Why has journalistic integrity and honesty all but disappeared in the news industry? Journalism in its current state is a pathetic shadow of its former self at the very best, and dead at worst. What is killing great journalism?

journalism has changed greatly over the past decade, and these changes are taking a particularly hard toll inside newsrooms. Investigative journalism must continue in a free society.

Journalists are experiencing more job burnout and more intend to leave the field, or are uncertain about their futures. Overload, indecisiveness of management, expectations of new roles such as social media and multiples forms of content have led to high rates of burnout.

Why are newspapers are in crisis and burnout is on the rise, while eroding young journalists’ career commitment?
