Lifetime Planning

I went for a walk today and noticed an official-looking black SUV parked in a no-parking zone and when I found the driver, he told me there were some Very Important People #VIP meeting at the #CityIsland Community Center.

Once inside the stuffy crowded room, I walked into an unraveling string of question being asked by Bronx community members and business leaders who were attracted by Scott M Stringer and free donuts. I did not eat any donuts, but I did stay for the Q&A. Stringer is the 44th and current @NYCComptroller, a Democrat who previously served as the 26th Manhattan Borough President. The NYC Councilman who represents the region was there, however, Borough President for The Bronx was a no-show.

The questions and comments were on many topics but most were about city finances. This is what he has to say. How much money do New York City households have left over after taxes and basic expenses? We just released a first-of-its-kind tool that breaks down the challenges New Yorkers face as affordability declines. https://comptroller.nyc.gov/reports/affordability-index/

Stringer says NYC's affordability crisis is leaving too many families struggling to cover basic needs. Credit is vital for finding your financial footing. That's why we are fighting to make rent count: Give tenants credit where it's due http://bit.ly/2JuFne2

Like most politicians, Stringer made plenty of promises and offered few solutions. One of the reasons for this round-robin event was Lifetime Planning and reforming NYC Emergency System. Sort of the calm before a storm.

Before leaving, I his press secretary and was promised many a future communique, which I will gladly share with you right away.
