To break all the chains of hate that fill way too many hearts is by the real truths within Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy. "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

2018 marks 50 years since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. Americans have worked to bring Dr. King’s dream to fruition and today, that work is more urgent than ever. He used to say, If you can’t fly then run if you can’t run then walk if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

It seems inconceivable that after Americans elected Barack Obama @POTUS44 for two consecutive terms, that @realDonaldTrump and now @POTUS is still defending himself against continued charges that he is racist. When Trump, the 'least racist' person, has been accused of racism If we tolerate this in a president, what does it say about us? @CNN Barack Obama @BarackObama
"Dr. King was 26 when the Montgomery bus boycott began. He started small, rallying others who believed their efforts mattered, pressing on through challenges and doubts to change our world for the better. A permanent inspiration for the rest of us to keep pushing towards justice."

As people all over the world celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. as a day with hours of community service in the name of the civil rights leader, they may recall the historic speech he delivered during the March on Washington. He said I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Let us never allow anyone, regardless of who they are, or how rich, famous, successful or even a self-described very stable genius to change the narrative about equality, peaceful resistance, or to increase efforts at upending the lives of hundreds of thousands of immigrants, who come to America seeking freedom and justice for all.
