Does anybody care that I Spy, which featured Bill Cosby and aired on NBC from 1965 to 1968 made Cosby famous? The program teamed Cosby with Robert Culp as international agents for the US Pentagon, which kept them busy chasing villains, spies and beautiful women.

Then later on, NBC made Cosby an American celebrity with The Cosby Show. The popular sitcom aired for eight seasons on NBC from 1984 until 1992. The show focused on the Huxtable family, an upper middle-class African-American family living in New York City. The program "was TV's biggest hit in the 1980s, and almost single-highhandedly revived sitcoms and NBC's ratings fortunes.

Finally, NBC also helped turn Donald Trump into a national broadcasting celebrity. The Apprentice was hosted by real estate magnate, and businessman Donald Trump. The show was broadcast on NBC and billed as "The Ultimate Job Interview". Each episode typically ended with Trump eliminating one of the contestants by saying, "You're fired". NBC finally announced on June 29, 2015 that it was severing all business ties with Trump due to the latter's comments about Mexican immigrants. Will this famous candidate soon implode and become infamous?
