NYC Council Member James Vacca welcomed two new mobile science lab carts to Van Nest Academy this morning.
These new carts, which can be transferred to each classroom throughout the school, were made possible through a $60,000 grant that Vacca secured through the City Council.
These are the latest additions to the school, which allows students and teachers to use the latest in science digital software. The carts include specialized computers to store information; a digital presenter, which gives teachers the tools to project 3-D images to an entire classroom; and handheld digital data collectors, which teaches students to store data samples and determine conclusions.
