The diversity of life from the level of a gene to the level of the ecosystem is declining precipitously across the entire globe.

Biodiversity refers to all of the species in one region or ecosystem and to every living thing, including plants, bacteria, animals, and humans.

At its simplest, biodiversity is about living nature or life on Earth - different genes, species, and ecologies and, as a consequence, the varying landscapes, regions, and habitats in which they exist via

Biodiversity is the variety of animals, plants, fungi, and even microorganisms like bacteria that make up our natural world. Each of these species and organisms works together in ecosystems, like an intricate web, to maintain balance and support life.
