Not so great expectations...

Prepare yourselves for plenty of buck-passing, finger-pointing and name-calling...etc. We continue to learn more about corruption in government, politics, business and just about everywhere we look.

Now, I do not like to appear as The Grim Reaper, but I've got news for all of you. It's definitely not a world of rainbows and unicorns nowadays, and media organizations should be focusing on journalism.

The world is experiencing the sharpest drop in oil prices within our lifetime, but instead of the media doing their jobs to carefully analyze, focus and report on an important news story, which is our energy needs and the the future direction of this crucial economic indicator, the majority of outlets appear to be obsessed with Seattle Seahawks vs. embattled New England Patriots. This East against West football championship on 2/1 along with the controversial developing story known as Deflate-gate should make everyone wonder what is it with these sports fanatics? On Sunday, they'll be primarily focused on The Superbowl, Chicken-wings and Beer, which makes US fat, and it will cost US.

Keeping up those not-so-great expectations
