Anchors aweigh and make way for NYC Fleet Week 2019. Over 2,600 US Navy sailors, Marines and Coast Guard women and men will visit NYC. There are nearly one dozen ships to tour, and dozens of band concerts as well as many other FREE and family-friendly events.
The 31st annual NYC Fleet Week 2019 celebrates all the Sea Services. The celebration begins on May 22-and ends on the 28, with Navy Band concerts and drill performances, demonstrations of the latest battle and rescue technology, and the chance to tour ships on active duty.
The signature events of Fleet Week include the traditional Parade of Ships on the Hudson River, and the traditional showing of the movie Top Gun on the top deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
NYC Fleet Week 2019 welcomes five U.S. Navy ships, three U.S. Coast Guard cutters, four U.S. Naval Academy Patrol boats (YPs), one Military Sealift Command ships, and two Royal Canadian Navy vessels.
The Parade of Ships officially kicks off 2018 Fleet Week New York, on Wed., May 22. The ships can be seen along the Hudson River from Battery Park to just south of the George Washington Bridge. This year’s visiting ships include the USS New York.
