What do you think? It was truly a historic moment as President Barack Obama voiced support for same-sex marriage, thereby becoming the first sitting commander-in-chief to do so.

Over the years, he mentioned his views on the issue were "evolving," but never expressed outright open support—just the belief that gays and lesbians should have access to the same civil rights as married couples.

What do you think? Will it gain him additional support, or will it hurt his chances for re-election?
