Oh No... Not Again!

What ever happened to reflecting the audience you serve? The three major TV networks may have decided to deny diversity dictates from multicultural and gender equality efforts. All three network news anchors are once again white men.

But this trend is not only prevalent in broadcasting, but also in the film industry. Do you know of any black female film directors? Have you noticed that female characters are more likely to be shown naked on screen than men? Or did you know that male characters outnumber females from the same group, so women from Middle East, Native American or other ethnic minority groups face considerable difficulty in finding work on screen in comparison to men.

These and other facts are revealed in the research by Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. - See more at: Journalists to Spend More Time with Marginalised Groups http://shar.es/11bUkr

What if, say, the network's research made them conclude that is what a higher % of their "potential" viewers would like? I'm pretty sure they are in the business to make money. Not sure what your point is.
