Our Victory Garden

Submitted by ub on

While surfing the Internet checking in on all the pandemic gardens that ought to be in full bloom right about now. Ours has overgrown.

Yirong and I scoured the internet for seeds, read up on victory gardening, and poured all of our anxieties into researching compost.

Believe it or not, if there’s any planter to strategically place on your deck, patio, or porch this season, it’s a colorful container filled with plants that control mosquitoes naturally. Just let your plants do the work for you. It’s easy to say goodbye to mosquito bites.

And now that we’re past Labor Day, it’s almost time to put everything to bed for the winter, how’d that work out for everyone?

Above, is the fruit of our labor and it made us feel like we can do this and it will be bigger and better next time. Perhaps it will do the same for some of you green thumbs out there in cyberspace.

We call it the Margarita y Antonio Soto Victory Garden. Named after my late mother and father. Here are some other samples. Included are some assorted gardens, of varying sizes including tiny, small, and Yuge!
