Submitted by ub on

As the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy approaches on November 22nd, 1963, C-SPAN has aggregated a number of video resources to help you learn more about the day, his life, and the major events of his presidency.

Learn all about the life and accomplishments of President Kennedy in a short biographical vignette, as well as view historical newsreel footage of The Cuban Missile Crisis and President Kennedy’s 1961 Inaugural Speech.

You may also view non-graphic footage of those events in Dallas, Texas 50 years ago, and hear reaction to President Kennedy’s assassination through historical analysis.

On November 23rd and 24th, American History TV on C-SPAN3 will feature eyewitness accounts of the events surrounding that fall day in 1963. They’ll air footage of the Kennedy funeral and President Lyndon Johnson’s address to Congress, bring you ceremonies from Dealey Plaza in Dallas and the JFK Library in Boston, as well as take viewer phone calls.
