Ryan Aguari Shot

Many residents in the Bronx community are saddened to learn about last night’s incident on Creston Avenue in Fordham Heights, where eleven-year old Ryan Aguari fell victim to gun violence and is now fighting for his life. This is the second time in two months a child has fallen victim to gun violence in The Bronx.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz says "My heart goes out to Ryan Aguari and his family. I will keep them in my prayers as we hope for Ryan’s quick recovery. My office will continue to work with the police, our district attorney, elected officials and other community organizations to take as many illegal guns off of our streets as we possibly can.

All Bronxites with knowledge of illegal guns in their community are urged to call 866-GUN-STOP to anonymously report those guns to the police, a program that my office continues to promote through our ‘Peace in our Streets’ campaign,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
