US Senator Bernie Sanders needs a more detailed explanation for praising Cuba’s Communist regime and it has developed into a long-term political headache for the Vermont senator's presidential campaign.
During the debate, he fell into a favorite Republican talking point of blaming former President Obama. He said that POTUS44 had made comments similar to his about Cuba, adding that "Occasionally, it might be a good idea, to be honest about American foreign policy, and that includes the fact that America has overthrown governments all over the world in Chile, in Guatemala, in Iran, and when dictatorships, whether it is the Chinese or the Cubans, do something good, you acknowledge that, but you don't have to trade love letters with them,"

Who got blown out in the latest state, had a heart attack and he’s hiding his medical records, praised brutal dictators and not even a Democrat?
While this may have seemed sufficient to some, it likely doesn't calm the nerves of Democrats in Florida who are worried about how the GOP will weaponize Sanders' words and who have first-hand knowledge of Castro’s horrific dictatorship.
One such Democrat is Reemberto Santos, who is a 70+-year-old Cuban patriot who reached out to City Images and called out Sander's lies. If he is saying that a murderous dictator is not so bad because Castro launched a literacy program, it is totally preposterous communist propaganda.
