US Secret Service Director Julia Pierson, who was originally appointed to fix that broken down federal agency, following a series of sex scandals has now resigned.
The agency's first female director was not able to keep her position following reports which continued raising questions about the performance of the agency.
President Obama concluded that new leadership of that agency was immediately required. Secret Service agent Joseph Clancy, the former head of the Presidential Protective Division will now lead that agency.
