Sedition Commission

American politicians aren’t playing an even ball field. The US Senate is the only game in the world where 59 to 1 and the majority loses.

The mother of late Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick pleaded for a panel to study the Capitol insurrection, however, Senate Republicans blocked it. "Putting politics aside, they don't want to know the truth of what happened on January 6?”

GOP lawmakers have said that creating a commission would put them at a disadvantage in the 2022 election. They're set to stage the first successful Senate filibuster under the Biden administration.

Sedition is the crime of revolting or inciting revolt against the government. However, because of the broad protection of free speech under the FIRST AMENDMENT, prosecutions for sedition are difficult, unless there is solid proof. Nevertheless, sedition remains a crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C.A. It is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it

If The GOP truly believed a sedition commission would not uncover new facts, they would allow let it to proceed with the Republican Party confidence that The Democrats would come up empty.

But they know that new and incriminating facts will come out, about  #Trump #Russia role and their own collusion, therefore these treasonous politicians are furiously trying to shut it down.

American Democracy hangs in the balance and USA voters deserve to know who not to cast a ballot for the next time around.
