Selfies are taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. These so called selfies are often shared with friends, or on social sites. They are usually flattering and made to appear casual.

Selfies are in vogue, but perhaps these should be saved for happy moments like vacations, adventures or celebrity sightings.

The most famous was taken during the 86th Academy Awards, when host Ellen DeGeneres during the March 2, 2014 broadcast and was one of the most re-tweeted image ever. DeGeneres was honoring Meryl Streep's record 18 Oscar nominations by setting a new record and invited twelve other Oscar celebrities including Streep, Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Lupita Nyong'o, Jared Leto and Jennifer Lawrence.

There are so many bad places to take selfies, including this one at locations where there have been accidents, injuries, death, destruction or other turmoil.

For those idiots, who do not know when to not take a selfie, get your act together and start acting like grow-ups.
