SNOW COVERED PARADISE

Submitted by Admin on

Mussel Suckers and Clam Diggers agree on one thing, City Island is NYC PARADISE.

Bankers, doctors and teachers who live on the island had to go to work this morning, but we recommend that you stay put, unless it's urgent to travel anywhere

This is the view from inside my place this morning. The next image is the building, where I own a condo unit and as you can see, it is covered with snow. The last image is looking down Fordham street towards City Island Avenue.

You can always watch a live image on City Island Images 24/7 being streamed of Midtown City Island, the corner of Fordham Street and City Island Avenue on this live camera above.

NYC could get up to a foot or more of snow with this nor’easter storm, which is also packing strong winds and is expected to last 24 hours and dump as much as 14 inches on Greater New York.

The National Weather Service issued a barrage of winter storm warnings, which remain in effect until 6 a.m. on Friday. Among these is a coastal flood statement since high tide coincides with the arrival of the storm, meaning low-lying parts of southern Connecticut, parts of Long Island and New York City may experience flooding late Thursday and early Friday morning.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT, NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHEAST NEW YORK.
