All activities are FREE and open to the public.
Performances for all ages, family friendly fun and educational activities, and fitness and recreational programming.
The event is organized by the Friends of Soundview Park in collaboration with Boogie Down Rides, Leave It Better Foundation, St. Raymond Community Outreach, South Bronx United and Zodiacs Track Foundation.

Tables along the greenway inside the park and stage at Morrison Ave. and Lafayette Ave.
Third annual celebration of the waterfront with the Friends of Soundview Park. Local musicians, performers, visual artists and crafters. Special guests include Rolie Polie Guacamole, Randy Niles, Mina Greiss, Music With a Message, and Bodoma Garifuna Culture Band.

By taking part in an interactive mapping process and a survey, festival participants will be able to share their favorite places within Soundview Park, as well as their hopes and wishes for the future of the park. Friends of Soundview Park will use that information to plan future park activities for children, adults and families.

8:30 am - City of Water Day Bronx River Full River Run! S O L D O U T !
From 219th St to Soundview Park
Full river canoe experience with Bronx River Alliance. This is a long activity, 4 hours on water, with 3 portages which includes carrying your canoe ( on wheels) for .5 miles, as well as down two 19th century dams. Though a slow river, there are several points where experience in a canoe is a necessity. Please consider this before registering. The trip does not include a shuttle. You will have to make your own way at the end of the trip in Soundview Park. Registration required (joseph.sanchez@parks.nyc.gov - 718-430-4636)
10:00 am - 11:00 am - Guided Tour of the Wildlife of Soundview Park
Meet group at Morrison Ave. and Lafayette Ave.
Chrissy Word, environmental science educator and naturalist with Butterfly Project NYC and Rocking the Boat, will lead a guided tour of the wildlife of Soundview Park, particularly our winged friends – butterflies and birds. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring along water and binoculars if you have them. Chrissy will also bring along a few extra pairs of binoculars to lend out for the tour and we’ll take time out along the way to stop and observe wildlife and take pictures.

Bronx River Alliance will be providing free bike loans (1pm-6pm) and community paddling (3pm-5pm) to explore Soundview Park!
10:00 am - 11:00 am - 3K Greenway Walk / Run
Meet group at Morrison Ave. and Lafayette Ave.
Zodiacs Track Foundation will lead running clinics and a fun walk-run activity for all ages along the Soundview Park greenway.
11:00 am - 12:00 pm - Hula Hoop Contest
Meet group near the stage at Morrison Ave. and Lafayette Ave.
Join Lon Wilson (New York Walkers Club & Friends of Soundview Park) for some friendly competitions for different ages as we give away prizes for the longest hula hoop time.
11:00 am - 6:00 pm - Soundview Waterfront Festival World Cup
Meet group near the soccer field
Sign up for the South Bronx United's soccer clinics (ages 4-9) or 3v3 Waterfront World Cup (ages 10-16). First 40 participants receive a free t-shirt. Registration www.southbronxunited.org/soundview
10:00 am - 6:00 pm - Street Cartography
This bicycle-based mobile exhibition of ideas about ways to make bicycling accessible, safe and sustainable in the Bronx. The artists Elizabeth Hamby and Hatuey Ramos-Fermín will share existing initiatives in the Bronx and generate new ideas with participants in the festival.

Leave It Better Foundation will be demonstrating the importance of composting, recycling and sharing stories.

Bronx Children's Museum will bring a mobile museum called "River on the Go!" and is all about the flora and fauna that live along the Bronx River!
10:00 am - 3:00 pm - NYC Compost Project Information Table
Stop by the NYC Compost Project table for free tip sheets, pamphlets, and workshop schedules designed to help gardeners increase their composting know-how. Experts will be on hand to answer composting questions.
