April is upon us and we are a breath away from spring. Although this winter was kind, it will be lovely to feel the warmth of the sun and watch the trees sprout new leaves, hear the birds and watch our neighborhood comes out to enjoys City Island as it comes alive.
City Island Images suggests a space be made available for teens, so they have their own area to interact and enjoy themselves during the upcoming summer vacation.
A private space could be set aside in our City Island Community Center with furniture, lighting and perhaps some new technology could be donated. This new teen area will not only allow us to better serve our City Island teens, but also provide us with a tremendous asset to work with our local teens and NYC youth serving organizations.
This teen room can be a place where our young adults can improve their communication skills in a matter most comfortable for them.
City Island Images believes that this space will become a centerpiece for the development of City Island's teen population. We are seeking interested and motivated teens and adults to support this project a to help make this space a success.
