President Obama had an hour of free TV prime time to debut his first campaign commercial of 2012.
Obama said "What's at stake are not Democratic values or Republican values, but American values. We have to reclaim them." We say what is he waiting for?
"I'm directing my Administration to allow the development of clean energy on enough public land to power three million homes," Obama said. "And I'm proud to announce that the Department of Defense, the world's largest consumer of energy, will make one of the largest commitments to clean energy in history - with the Navy purchasing enough capacity to power a quarter of a million homes a year."
" Pass the payroll tax cut without delay" Obama said "We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people do really well, while a growing number of Americans barely get by," The President said. "Or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules."
"As long as I'm President I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum," The President made this pledge before a joint session of US Congress.
