Today is the one day anyone can feel free to drop their drawers in public and show their undies. Underwear is worn for a variety of reasons. They keep outer garments from being soiled by perspiration, and other symptoms. In this instance, thankfully for obvious reasons.
Every year a growing group od NYC subway riders commute wearing undergarments on the bottoms and today was no different.
There are no figures available as of yet on how many women have been sexually assaulted during the "no pants" subway ride.
This year the group got lucky as the temperature made it warm enough not to be uncomfortably cold.
No Pants is a random passenger movement onboard subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants behave as if they do not know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.
For the record, the only people that do it are the people in the group. It's not a thing like there's a day when everyone riding the train has to do it without pants. It's a bunch of wild and crazy folk who believe in going commando, sort of.
