The Best Medicine

While medical doctors and scientific researches seek a cure for #COViD19 which is also known as the #CoronaVirus Pandemic, there is a phrase which I have always enjoyed - Laughter is the best medicine with positive side effects.

As more people around the world practice social distancing and carry on life under quarantine. #CityImages recommends the following funny major motion pictures and videos to view. WARNING ⚠️ Expect Adult Language or topics.

Comedy makes us smile, and laugh. It includes farce, burlesque, and other forms of humorous amusement. The classic conception began in ancient Greece in the 4th century BCE and continues today.

The comic’s purpose is to hold a mirror up to society to reflect its follies and vices, in the hope that they will, as a result, be mended.

Philosophers share this view of the corrective purpose of laughter which is intended to bring the comic character back into conformity with his society. In other words, humor makes the world much better all around.

Researchers say comedians have degrees of schizophrenia and manic depression and this makes them funny. Comedians have a remarkable amount in common with people with schizophrenia and manic depression – and that this could be exactly what makes them funny. comedians often display depressive traits such as emotional flatness and detachment from others. This seems to be related to the stress of the job, or an underlying disorder:

From Susarion, an Archaic Greek comic poet, who is considered one of the originators of metrical comedy and, by others, he was considered the founder of Comedy. to Lucy, Phyllis Diller, Carol Burnet, Red Foxx, Lenny Bruce, Rodney Dangerfield, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, and many others who followed.
