The US House of Representative and US Senate members are expected back to work on Monday following a couple of weeks worth of non deserved vacation, and they'll do more of what these politicians have been doing, a whole lot of nothing the people want them to do.

Dead on arrival are important issues like immigration, a tax overhaul, stiffer gun laws, increasing the minimum wage, bringing back unemployment benefits and money for the Highway Trust Fund to keep road and bridge construction.

Following a politically costly partial government shutdown last fall, GOP leaders may not allow it happen this time around, now that elections are just around the corner.

Since our Congressional leadership is not expected to do much for the next few months? We suggest all of you contact your local representatives to ask them. Also take the opportunity to tell each and every one of them all about your individual priorities.
