Tocayo Comes Home

Since he was born in The Bronx and his name is Rob, and my name is Roberto, and I'm living on City Island we're neighbors and Tocayos. Rob is best known as Meathead, no fakakta, that I can tell you. But more about that below. I went to watch Rob @robreiner Reiner's latest motion picture with good friends. Three gave the filmmaker a thumbs up and one gave it a sideways thumb.

The true story focuses on Knight Ridder Newspapers refusal to buy into the lies and propaganda The Bush administration was pushing about weapons of mass destruction. After the film, Reiner mentioned that European news agency Reuters does a good job but failed to acknowledge The AP, in the #USA https://www.apnews.com/tag/apf-topnews https://www.ap.org
https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=associated%20press%20supporters so I had to personally call him out and defend my alma mater.

For the past two decades, Rob Reiner has directed and created films that win public enthusiasm and critical acclaim. Reiner is not a meathead and proved it before a home crowd at the Pelham Picture House. http://www.thepicturehouse.org/
He paid tribute to his current wife saying that if it wasn't for her he'd be at home watching TV and trying to change the channel without a remote and that is a depressing thought.

Reiner has publicly acknowledged battling depression, but has managed to deal with it with by directing hit films "Stand by Me," https://youtu.be/oYTfYsODWQo "A Few Good Men" https://youtu.be/9FnO3igOkOk and "The Princess Bride." https://youtu.be/Kt7n0-zFpUw and his latest ‘Shock And Awe’ is a thriller About Journalists vs. US Government’s Iraq War https://youtu.be/NoUyb2Do0ZM https://youtu.be/FxlOB7NR7JQ He told the standing room only crowd that he is working on a current project, but could not really talk about it only to say that he's been working on this project his entire adult life.

Reiner is a versatile filmmaker who's been in entertainment business all his life, His father is Carl Reiner, creator of The Dick Van Dyke Show, and many other classics. Here's one clip where he makes a short appearance https://youtu.be/wGEOjxtQtWc

Rob is an actor-director as well as a producer. Prior to his directorial debut, Reiner appeared in many television and feature productions. It was, however, his Emmy Award-winning work as the son-in-law of ‘Archie Bunker’ in the hit series All in the Family that made him a household name. All in the Family Flashback - Meathead Meets Archie, an episode with he wrote https://youtu.be/Rk7P7eCxHeM

Reiner is a co-founder of Castle Rock Entertainment, and under that banner produced and directed When Harry Met Sally, https://youtu.be/PdJm3DVg3EM, Misery, https://youtu.be/4-8adc39DV0 The American President, https://youtu.be/Tc43gicrg0I
Ghosts of Mississippi https://youtu.be/MvxHjPWVwKk and many other films.

Rob Reiner is also an environmentalist and a political activist. Here's an interesting clip, I like to call Meathead and The Mooch.
