NYC Councilman James Vacca, (D-Bronx), will be joined by NY State Senator Jeffrey D. Klein, (D-Bronx/ Westchester), and local community leaders to urge the public to keep an eye out for the continued sale of synthetic marijuana in their communities. The substance, which had been readily available at corner stores and smoke shops throughout New York, was banned last week via an executive order by Governor Cuomo. However, Klein and Vacca have found at least one case where this dangerous product continues to be sold in the Bronx.
Senator Klein, Councilman Vacca and members of the Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association, the Van Nest Neighborhood Alliance and the 49th Precinct Community Council will gather near the corner of Lydig and Holland avenues tomorrow @2P urging members of the community to keep an eye out for this banned substance.
