Hounds on the Sound
Glen Island Park, Weyman Ave., New Rochelle, Sunday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

New Rochelle Humane Society and Pet Rescue have partnered to raise money for cats and dogs in need. The annual Hounds on the Sound event will begin with registration at 10 a.m. for the 11:30 1.5-mile walk for dogs and their people along a path bordering the Long Island Sound in Glen Island Park. The dog walk will be followed by a fun-filled day in the park, featuring activities for kids, vendors, refreshments, demonstrations, dog contests and music. There will also be a raffle for Giants tickets. Dogs and cats will be available for adoption.
Pricing: $25 for individual walker registration; $40 for family registration (up to 2 adults plus kids).

Classical Concert: The Capriccio Ensemble
New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle, Sunday, Oct. 2, 3 p.m.

The Capriccio Ensemble concert will feature a trio comprised of Natalie Kriegler (violin), Amy Kriesgler (flute) and Margery Fitts (harp). The trio will perform pieces by baroque, romantic and neo-romantic French composers such as Loiellet, Saint-Saƫns, Ibert and Ravel.
Pricing: Suggested donation, $2.

Historic Wheels Rally
Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, 895 Shore Rd., Bronx, Sunday, Oct. 2, 1 p.m.
