Not on City Island as they were promised by NY Senator Jeff Klein, but at Middletown Plaza, which is now equipped with CCTV and layered access control.
NYC Council Member James Vacca will join tenants of Middletown Plaza tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. to officially dedicate newly installed security cameras for the NYCHA complex.
The cameras, which were installed by NYCHA, came from a $175,000 allocation from Vacca in 2011 after tenants expressed safety concerns in the building. Despite several delays, the installation of the cameras was officially completed at the end of September.
