A drone attack took place in Moscow on the morning of May 30, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel.

As a result of the attack, "several buildings suffered minor damage," Sobyanin said. "At the moment, no one has been seriously wounded," Sobyanin added. Telegram channels report that more than ten drones were shot down in the Moscow region on the morning of May 30. Americans familiar with Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty might consider them Cold War relics… vestiges of a time when broadcasting straight news behind the Iron Curtain was considered key to promoting democracy. But as we first reported earlier this year, with a new Cold War descending… and a hot war blazing in the heart of Europe… RFE/RL – as it's also known… is back in vogue. With a $20 million boost from Congress – the U.S. -taxpayer-funded broadcaster is beaming and streaming original content – mostly video these days – into many of the same former Soviet republics they targeted in the 1950s. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/radio-free-europe-60-minutes-transcript-20…

A footnote: I was once recruited and severed for POTUS GHWB as GM 15-10 for USIA as the founding Director of Spanish-language news and a foreign policy specialist for the federal government. The mission is to promote democratic values by providing accurate, uncensored news and open debate in countries where a free press is threatened and disinformation is pervasive.  https://www.martinoticias.com/   https://www.youtube.com/user/TVMartiNoticias/videos
