ANOTHER DOMINO

Two states down and 48 more to go before they lock him out of the ballots and his MAGA Republicans will have to write is votes.

It is reassuring to see that we now have 2 US states that can fully comprehend the US constitution. But still quite alarming at the vast number that still follow an adolescent senior citizen antagonist or simply don’t care. Meanwhile America Keeps Hoping It’s Curtains for Trump. However, However, the adolescent senior citizen is Still in Center Stage.

Maine becomes the second state in two weeks to disqualify Trump’s candidacy due to the constitutional bar on officeholders who supported or “engaged in insurrection or rebellion.” The Colorado Supreme Court previously barred Trump from the state’s Republican primary ballot under a similar interpretation of the 14th Amendment.

Maine’s Secretary of State has now ruled that Donald Trump is ineligible to appear on the 2024 ballot because he violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and engaged in insurrection — writing Trump is “unqualified.” This is what upholding our constitution looks like.

As Donald Trump faces a new threat to his political future, this time over the question of ballot eligibility, Democrats again find themselves looking toward US  institutions to stop him.

The domino theory is a geopolitical theory which posits that increases or decreases in democracy in one state tend to spread to neighboring states in a domino effect. It was prominent in the United States from the 1950s to the 1980s in the context of the Cold War, suggesting that if one country in a region came under the influence of communism, then the surrounding countries would follow.  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_6yCe6trspM&pp=ygULRG9taW5vIHNvbmc%3D

The great state of Maine rule comes days after Colorado supreme court removes Trump from state primary ballot for same reason. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/dec/28/maine-disqualifies-trum…

The AP says now that Maine removed former President Donald Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot under the Constitution’s insurrection clause. The U.S. Supreme Court is now poised to decide whether Trump remains eligible to be on the ballot. https://www.axios.com/2023/12/29/trump-blocked-maine-2024-ballot-secret…
