SEARCHING FOR SAM

Where is Sam now that we need him more than ever today? His desire to "destroy oysters done up in all kinds of seductive styles."

If you've ever read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn," you may already be intimately familiar with the American humorist, novelist, journalist and travel writer. https://youtu.be/8cjq-n4uZ5A?si=Vg2fNPwN4-4veKZy

Samuel Clemens, was more commonly known by his pen name Mark Twain, a wordsmith and avid for oysters that's been long-forgotten, lost over the inevitable passage of decades.

When Twain was homesick, he craved what were, at the time, classic American dishes; among them fresh butter beans, Illinois prairie hens, and Missouri partridge. Though you'd be hard-pressed to find many of these dishes nowadays, one of Mark Twain's absolute favorite were shell foods which are unlikely to ever go out of style.

He would say things folks could personally identify with.We wonder what he would say about our current state of events?
