Condo or Homeowners’ Associations are meant to maintain order and aesthetics in neighborhoods, but they can be downright absurd.
From do nothing boards to bizarre restrictions to over-the-top fines, these regulations can make anyone question the sanity of the creeps who enforce them. Here are 20 of the worst HOA rules that will make you think twice before moving into a Condo or HOA-governed community.
A condo board is a group of volunteers who are elected by the majority of owners of a building. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, including the finances, common areas, and community rules. Some hire management companies. Here’s mine. Note the lack of HSC stars ⭐️

Me: I understand things come up, but I was counting on you. HSC: We’re working on it.
If you’re like most who have had issues with boards, be prepared to frequent housing courts and contact your local buildings departments to seek relief. Most board members are apathetic and may do it to feel powerful or important. They are neither, just pawns in a blame game.
