Mexico happens to be US third largest trade partner and the president Obama will discuss job creation on both sides of the border with Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto. Obama's planned immigration reform is also likely to feature high on the agenda. Not to mention that Obama may have wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo a few days early. Happy Margaritas!!!

The Michigan State House has passed legislation that requires families to show more than need in order to qualify for government sponsored welfare benefits. One portion of the legislation, known as Bill 4388 would take away benefits from families with truant kids.
House Bill 4118 would require welfare recipients to take a drug test. If they failed the test they would have to get in treatment, then get clean in order to keep getting benefits.
Some critics say the government is unfairly targeting the poor, and point out that corporate leaders bailed out from poverty aren't asked to take drug tests. However,
supporters of both measures say they will assist these people to get out of poverty. The reasoning is that you are less likely to suffer from poverty if you prioritize education and live a sober life.
What do you think about this legislation? Should these measures be adopted nationwide? Leave your comments below, or write to us:

Days after receiving USCG Approval for Cadet Deck and Engine Programs through July 2018, USMMA, is reportedly listed as number one in the dubious category of 25 US Universities with the Worst Professors.
According to the latest figures compiled by an education think-tank, many of the worst profs are apparently not doing a very good job teaching in Midwest and on the East Coast schools.
Since today is National Honesty Day - " I can not tell a lie" This phrase is attributed to the first US President, George Washington. Perhaps he had his fingers crossed. Some biographers claim he never said these words. Believe it, or not?
These are words to live by, especially today, which is National Honesty Day!
We should always be truthful and straightforward. But, particularly today. National Honesty Day, which began in the 1990s in response to April 1st, April Fools' Day.
Honestly... No kidding!
