The first newspaper was Publick Occurrences. It was published in Boston back in 1690. Today, more than three centuries later, we have more than 1400 dailies in this country, with the two largest The Wall Street Journal and USA Today, which claim circulations exceeding two million each.
While we still keep strong the memory of those we lost on September 11th, some of us also don’t want to forget to stop to say THANK YOU to our first responders like you; not only for what you did on September 11th, but also for your continued commitment to protecting our safety in the face of constant danger.

These stories are evergreen, but in documenting the 10th anniversary of those horrific Sept. 11 attacks, there must be a fine line observed between commemoration and perceived exploitation.
