Local news is becoming more difficult to find and the unfortunate outcome is that it keeps hurting our fragile American democracy.

The world needs more local news and less individual views.Two decades ago, I accepted a gracious offer from one of America’s wealthiest businessman. Chuck Dolan hired me to build, recruit, train and launch News 12 The Bronx. It was originally supposed to be as local as local news can get. Allow me to begin by saying that I worked for President HW Bush and it appears to me that he would be shocked by the following.

I am not a #Republican, I have no political affiliation but in terms of the Bush #GOP dynasty and the expanded family tree, George P. Bush is the son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the nephew of former President George W. Bush, and the grandson of my former boss US president George H.W. Bush, and the great grandson of Senator Prescott Bush.

Americans are getting gaslighted by Republicans on voting legislation and #WeThePeople need to wake up and smell that treason.

The real steal may be where The Grand Old Party plans to be in a couple of years if #USA Democracy evolves into #GOP fascism and we lose our liberty. The American people must never give Hate and Fascism a safe harbor.

One of the reasons why Astrology was suppressed in the 17/18/19 century was because it was being used for political purposes and eventually found itself on the loosing side.  People were threatened and just wanted to get rid of it. Science at that time, was on the rise. It was easy to label it as superstitious nonsense.

Women like #AOC are now serving with larger numbers in American politics and government today than ever before.

In 1846, five New York City newspapers funded a pony express route through Alabama to bring news of the Mexican War north faster than the U.S. Post Office could deliver it. And The Associated Press was born.

The AP was the first private sector organization in the U.S. to operate on a national scale. Over the past 175 years, it has been the first to inform the world of many of history's most important moments, from the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and the bombing of Pearl Harbor to the fall of the Shah of Iran and the death of Pope John Paul.

Trouble Tripping

I crossed this bridge that stretches across Hangzhou Bay. It is actually the longest bridge crossing an ocean anywhere in the world. It was during one of my travels. This journey was from Shanghai to Ningbo and Hangzhou.

The bridge snakes in an “S” shape across the water, connecting the northern cities of Zhenjiadai, Haiyan, and Jiaxing City to the southern Zhenjiang Province cities of Shuiluwan, Cixi, and Ningbo City.

This amazing architectural structure is 23 miles in length and also features a 476-foot tower that you can do some sightseeing from.
