The amount of times NYPD officials have stopped, questioned and frisked citizens on the streets of NYC has recently decreased by 34 percent because police commanders have stopped pushing for such stops.

NYPD conducted over 203 thousand stops in the first three months of this year. During April, May and June, NYPD stopped 133,934 people. The number of overall street stops has increased every year during police commissioner Kelly’s tenure.

The bad news is that crime statistics are now going to increase. City Island Images asks:

UN ROLE UN-ACCEPTABLE

Submitted by ub on

It appear to be another mission impossible for the UN and it's emissary Kofi Annan, who decided to throw in the towel on Syria growing civil war. He says he is calling it quits at month’s end admitting a failure of six months of efforts to diplomatically diffuse th violence.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad does not appear ready to step down and much of the blame lies on the UN Security Council. Back in February, Assad’s heavy-handed rule caused UN and Arab League members to name Annan to ‘Mission Impossible.’
