The United Nations has handed a serious rebuke to PRC for its claim to the South China Sea.

Social media is telling China to get out. But Beijing may have different plans and rejected an international tribunal ruling that its claims to rights in the South China Sea have no legal basis.

POLITICALLY POOR PAUL

Submitted by ub on

The Speaker of The US House of Representatives apparently speaks only for himself. He says something one way and then gets no respect or support the next day.

Paul Ryan spoke against the GOP candidate and now he's going to speak on his behalf. Paul puts his foot inside his mouth all too often. He has lost his clout and is not "Politically Poor Paul."

Paul Ryan will be walking a tightrope at next week’s GOP convention, Gerald F. Seib writes http://on.wsj.com/29IlqAn via @WSJ

Hillary Feels The Bern

Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton and asks all his supporters to vote for a woman President.

The long, and winding road that caused a dreadfully divisive presidential primary officially closes for the Democrats, as Senator Sanders endorses Hillary in New Hampshire.

So far, Hillary had struggled to attract young voters and its a worrisome sign as the first female Democratic presidential candidate prepares for the general election. Hoping his endorsement will turn voters around, Bernie Sanders is now offering his long-awaited endorsement.

Donal Trump is about to turn a GOP's Convention into a Huge Infomercial. But don't allow The Donald to take credit for inventing this tactic. Another Republican crook who was impeached became the very first.

With film clips and images to go on, anyone might conclude that President Richard Nixon was the idol of voters, which was just the intention of his handlers. But he ultimately lost the presidency for lying.

POKEMON FUN?

My wife's gorgeous little sister introduced a new video game to us that gives lots of reality without the virtual part. The game is called Pokemon Go and it gets its users to go searching for characters in and around neighborhoods. But beware, some areas may be gang infested, while other areas have wild deer population.

Recently, a young woman who was playing Pokemon Go reportedly spotted two deer drinking near water but still no Pokemon. So, she walked the rocky river bank and didn't immediately notice a man's body lying face down in the water six feet away. Pokemon, get going.

Con-Preventions?

Will violence erupt in and around either one of these venues? Let's hope not, but it won't be the first time.

The 41st Republican National Convention will be held in Cleveland , Ohio at Quicken Loans Arena from
July 18-21 2016.

The RNC is expected to formally select Donald J. Trump as the nominee for president for the Republican Party. He may be the first non-politician to receive the nomination since former president Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952, but The Donald is no IKE. For starters. he never even served a day in the military.

The decision to schedule the 41st RNC one month earlier than previous editions was made in order to bypass a Federal Election Commission campaign spending restriction and to facilitate earlier campaigning in Ohio, a key battleground swing state which every winning presidential candidate since 1964 has won. The Ohio winning streak for Republican presidential candidates stretches even further when Abraham Lincoln triumphed over Democratic candidate George B. McClellan in 1860. Another reason behind the timing of the convention is the Rio summer Olympics (August 5 - 21), which is certain to draw the nation’s attention away from costly campaign advertisements.

The 47th Democratic National Convention will be held in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania at Wells Fargo Center and The Pennsylvania Convention Center from July 25-28 2016.

The DNC announced the convention dates on January 23, 2015, and the convention host city on February 12, 2015, eliminating the two other finalist cities of Columbus, Ohio and New York City.

A number of other cities had been chosen by the Democratic National Committee as finalists to host the convention. Birmingham and Phoenix were eliminated following site visits on July 21, 2014. Cleveland, withdrew from the competition after the RNC decided on July 8, 2014, to hold their 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Other cities under earlier consideration to host the 2016 DNC Convention included Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Nashville and Salt Lake City.

Back in the 1830's, the legendary figures from our great nation's history were roaming the political landscape of our amazing country. The footprint of party giant and one of the founders of the Democratic Party of the United States, President Andrew Jackson, threatened to engulf the party itself.

The initial decision to break away from the Democratic-Republican Party in 1812 over ideological differences and the choice of its leadership, led to the birth of the Democratic Party and the subsequent role in the elevation of Jackson to the presidency.

There was an absence of a formal nomination system for presidential candidates and it caused the build-up of factions within the party, jockeying for post and favors, along with an increasingly prevalent concentration of power among an elite group aligned with President Jackson.
