Submitted by ub on

Cuba's top leadership is meeting in a closed conclave that may generate major changes for the communist island's political and economic future.

The National Congress of the Cuban Communist Party takes place less than one month after President Obama made a historic visit, and is expected to deal with the influx of American tourists and investment headed their way.

Xian Food

My wife was born in Shanghai and has taken me to some of the best restaurants in that region of China. Her best friend is from Xian, so naturally these two gorgeous ladies took me to taste the best Chinese food in NY, according to them and many others.

I can honestly say the food from Xian food is extremely tasty and not oily, or greasy. It was not only delightfully delicious, but the prices were less than what I was expecting.

FIDEL and GABE

On April 15, 1959, Fidel Castro arrived in New York to begin an 11-day visit.

He had just triumphed in the revolution he led that overthrew the Cuban government. He was in New York to speak at the United Nations. But that was only the official purpose.

Actually, as I remember it, Castro was like a schoolboy, delighted to see the big city and all its wonders, including the Bronx Zoo and to sample the cuisine — notably, hot dogs.

Some say "Stairway" sounds a lot like "Taurus" a song by Spirit, which claims performing on 1960's tour with Zeppelin.

The Red Fox will be hosting the grey fox today at a campaign rally. The US Senator from Vermont continues to woo the young vote.

Presidential wannabe Bernie Sanders will be at Marist College this evening to speak with students and faculty members. http://www.marist.edu/

The college is the home of The Marist Poll. http://maristpoll.marist.edu/politics-section/

We wonder if students are interested in Digital Democracy, which could allow voters to harness the power of technology. A platform to discuss ideas for the people and by the people.
