The Paley Center for Media presents the first comprehensive retrospective of Judy Garland’s career on television, celebrating some of the incomparable entertainer’s most notable, as well as most rarely seen, appearances in the medium. Free overnight camping in NYC parks is allowed - but only on select nights, and only if you win the lottery.
The lottery in question is operated by the Urban Park Rangers and it allows families to bring a tent and other useful urban camping gear to spend a night in Central Park, Fort Greene Park, Van Cortlandt Park, Pelham Bay Park, Marine Park, Alley Pond Park or Wolfe’s Pond Park.
A 24-hour online lottery is held for each camping night with about 30 winning entries per event. The NYC camping and lottery dates for 2011:

NYC Councilman Jimmy Vacca is out of the country on a well deserved summer vacation with his wife and his daughter. I was assured that he was not in Bermuda. Someone else we know likes to visit Bermuda.
City Island Images was told that the councilman went on a sea cruise, touring our northern neighbors in Canada. You too could be enjoying one of these cruises from NYC.
