Detroit city officials are urging a judge to approve their plan to get out of bankruptcy, and solve some really bad crap by wiping out billions in debt and spending $1.7 billion on improved services services for the Motor City.

Judge Steven Rhodes is expected to rule on November 7 whether the largest public bankruptcy in U.S. history is fair and feasible. It's an up-or-down ruling: He can't choose parts he likes and scratch others.

It is called desynchronosis, or flight fatigue, and its a temporary disorder that causes insomnia, and other symptoms as a result of air travel across time zones. It is considered a circadian rhythm sleep disorder, which is a big time disruption of the internal body clock.

Oct 26, 1881
Shootout at the OK Corral. On this day in 1881, the Earp brothers face off against the Clanton-McLaury gang in a legendary shootout at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. After silver was discovered nearby in 1877, Tombstone quickly grew into one of the richest mining towns in the Southwest. Wyatt Earp, a former Kansas police officer working as a bank security guard, and his brothers, Morgan and Virgil, the town marshal, represented "law and order" in Tombstone, though they also had reputations as being power-hungry and ruthless. The Clantons and McLaurys were cowboys who lived on a ranch outside of town and sidelined as cattle rustlers, thieves and murderers. In October 1881, the struggle between these two groups for control of Tombstone and Cochise County ended in a blaze of gunfire at the OK Corral.

California nightmare

More than 100 public safety officials officers from Northern California responded without being requested to the crime scene after learning that one of their own had been killed at the start of a weekend shooting rampage.

There were representatives of federal, state and local police departments, who swarmed six separate crime scenes across a 30-mile region encompassing two counties,

The officers will all be questioned as part of the complex, ongoing investigation into the attack on Friday that ended after two deputies were dead and two other victims were wounded.

With the 2014 midterm elections around the corner, Barack Obama's previous fantasy of ruling the US Senate may turn out to be his worst nightmare.

36 seats are up for election in just a few days and from the looks of it. the Democrats appear to have many reasons to lose sleep and that's not all they may wind up losing after the vote count.

On November 4, Americans will go to the polls to determine how the present senate control of 53 democrats, 45 republicans and two independents will be re-drawn.

Canada's parliament attacked

Security measures in Canada's capital have come under criticism after a gunman was able to run through an unlocked front door of the main building and get close to Prime Minister Stephen Harper before he was shot down following a gun battle.

One soldier was shot dead and another seriously injured after a suspected extremist attack in Quebec, just outside Montreal. The man drove over two service personnel, before he was shot dead by the police.
