Par varies from a monetary value to an average golf score without cheating!
How did we allow the national focus from helping others to helping ourselves?
Most of USA enjoys helping others, not someone who only helps himself.
There was a time when Americans helped each other, and also our neighbors.
Few came to his $45 million military birthday party. He is the laughingstock of the world.

Say YaY for Monterey 😍 The iconic event was full of notable performances by Canned Heat, Laura Nyro, Jefferson Airplane, Booker T. & the M.G.’s, and the Grateful Dead. Monterey’s multi-genre bill offered the best of what the 1960s had to offer: sentimental folk, experimental psychedelia, and straightforward rock ‘n’ roll. In addition to the music, the festival’s social attitude, artistic style, and general “vibe” helped define the ethos of the Summer of Love. West Coast was a musical mecca, and the Monterey Pop Festival was the world’s journey to this central point.

Roughly 200,000 people attended the Monterey International Pop Festival. Compared to Woodstock’s approximately 400,000, the 1967 festival seemed somewhat small. But at the time, it was one of the largest and most significant musical events the U.S. had ever seen. Fortunately for many of the artists involved, this impressive accolade meant that their inclusion on the lineup caused their careers to skyrocket practically overnight.

When I moved from California to New York decades ago, I began to admire the genius of Walt Whitman.
Everyman- I will go with thee and be thy guide. In thy most need To go by thy side.

His work explored a wide range of themes, including the human body, the soul, the connection between nature and humanity, and the possibilities of American democracy.

The Span Of Life
The old dog barks backwards without getting up.
I can remember when he was a pup.

This poem portrays the fleeting nature of time and the progression of life. The elderly dog's backward barks symbolize his lived experiences and the past receding into memory.

The author observes the dog's present condition, contrasting it with his youthful vigor. This juxtaposition evokes a sense of nostalgia and reflection on the passing of time.

The poem stands out from Frost's other works, which often delve into complex themes of nature, isolation, and mortality. However, it shares his characteristic minimalist style and use of everyday imagery to explore profound truths.

In the context of its time period, the poem reflects the growing awareness of the transience of life during the early 20th century. The First World War had left a significant impact, instilling a sense of loss and uncertainty.

Through its simple yet evocative language, "The Span of Life" captures the universal experience of witnessing the passage of time and the wistful longing for the past.

FRIENDLY NYC

With summer quickly approaching, a beach vacation is sounding better by the minute. With more than 95,000 miles of shoreline across the US, there is certainly no shortage of options. The hardest part might be choosing where to go! If you are eyeing the Atlantic Coast, one town in particular excels in both its scenic location and its warm hospitality. City Island located along the northeaster coast of New York City , is home to fewer than 5,000 residents. Still, its annual arts and crafts festivals, holiday celebrations, cozy, and friendly cruises have earned it a well-deserved reputation as the friendliest coastal towns in NYC between Pelham Bay and Long Island Sound just off the Atlantic.
