RIP: David Rockefeller

US billionaire businessman and philanthropist, David Rockefeller has died at the advanced age of 101 at his home in Pocantico Hills due to a congestive heart failure in his sleep.

David Rockefeller (June 12, 1915 – March 20, 2017) was an American banker who was chairman and chief executive of Chase Manhattan Corporation.

Rockefeller was the family patriarch since July 2004, the only surviving child of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, and the last surviving grandchild of John D. Rockefeller and Laura Spelman Rockefeller.

A piece of ice dropped from my NYC window this morning, so it must mean that Spring and the warm weather is here to stay... Not so fast, folks!

Today marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and its the equinox. The Spring equinox is significant because, after a long and dark winter, the hours of day and night are equal for the first time this year – about 12 hours each.

Here comes the sun, but as it crosses over the equator Monday on its way north toward the Tropic of Cancer, it marks the vernal equinox — the official beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
